Most adult commuter scooters top out at 15.5 to 20 mph; kids models at 5 to 12.5 mph; high-power dual-motor scooters list 30 to 50 mph. The median top speed across the 145 electric scooters we track is 19 mph. Legal caps of 15 to 20 mph are common.
