ScooterMatch starts with the rider. A 12 year old heading to the skatepark, a 250 lb commuter with a hill at the end of the street and a 3 year old on their first scooter need three completely different things, and most scooter advice treats them as one shopper.
So every page here starts from who is riding: age, height, weight, distance, hills and budget. The rider match calculator turns those into a battery size, a motor size and a weight rating, then shows scooters whose own listings clear all three. Kids pages go age by age. Skatepark riders get bar height by height. And every rider gets a helmet: sized by age, certified for how they ride.
How we work
We research; we do not ride or test products in person. Specifications come from each Amazon listing, parsed and checked; real-world range and hill speed come from published physics (rolling resistance, air drag and climbing power), not from box claims. Read the methodology for the details.
